Freshers and Newtech India Corporation  have so much in common. Both are full of innovative ideas, fresh energy, enthusiasm, passion, and zeal to do something meaningful. No wonders why freshers are great hires for our company. But hiring and onboarding a new employee in our company comes with a price (CTC). And hiring a person straight out of the college with no previous experience for our company can slow down the shipping cycles as we need the time to onboard you and bring to the speedy pace. Our HR person or someone from our team will take this onboarding task.

To make your life easy and reduce the induction period as freshers in our company, we have listed down a few ideas which we learned from our own experience and want all of you to know about them. Hope it will be helpful.

Being a fresher, everyone wants to work with the best people from the industry. Initially, we allow you to  work in a team which has experienced people. This way you will learn not only the right tools and best practices but also will get inspired from experienced folks. You can always choose the team dynamics smartly.

  1. We Understand your interests

Before hiring you, we have asked about your areas of interest. But the company won’t obey plans. Many times, you are asked to work on some different projects which are not of your interests. In such situations, we make sure to convey you that we understand your interests and explain the situation well. We need you to feel connected with the company.

  1. We try to understand your way of working

Sometimes, you might not want to follow the process, searching for the quick hacks to get the work done as fast as possible. And sometimes, you might want to build everything from scratch and miss the deadlines. In both the cases, our managers or team leader act as a mentor and teach you to be flexible as the need arises.   

  1. Attention needed to understand the induction

We invest our valuables from our busy schedule and plan a proper induction for you. We will assign this task to our team members. Introduce our team in a fun way, we let you know about our work culture, office timings, leave policies and address all your queries.

  1. Explanation of the financials

As this is your first job, you might not be well aware of the tax system, salary structure as per market or industry, insurance policies, equity and stock options. our team will explain all this well, we give you time to understand and ask if you have any questions.

  1. Explanation leave policies

Being in a company, we think of scale, growth and employees tend to work long hours and in lean startups, one can not take unplanned leaves and transfer ownerships. To avoid surprises from the new joiners, we request you to get details of the leave policy well in advance.

Regularly we go on one on one conversations with new joiners for the starting months. These feedback sessions are a two-way process. We Give you unbiased feedback on your work and ask for new ideas.We hope this is the best way to mentor you and build a sense of trust and credibility in you.
